Waxfall has no accounts, no advertising and no cookies. It does not ask for, collect or sell any personal information.
What stays on your device
Your settings (volume, wings, accessibility options) and your records (best scores and your last ten flights) are kept in your browser's local storage, and stay there. Settings → Clear records erases your scores, and clearing this site's data in your browser erases everything.
Visit counts
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people play and on what kinds of devices. It sets no cookies, does not use local storage, and does not follow you across other websites. It records the page visited, the referring site, browser and device type, and an approximate country. We cannot see who you are.
Flight statistics
When a flight ends, the game sends one short, anonymous summary of it to our own server on Cloudflare, so we can see whether the game is too hard and where players stop: how far you flew, the score, how long the flight lasted, what ended it (the sun, the sea or a ruin), the stage you reached, your peak heat and soak, the share of time on the middle path, near misses and best streak, whether it was the tutorial, the game version, and whether you play on a desktop, phone or tablet, in the browser or as an installed app.
The summary carries no name, account, cookie, device ID or anything else that links one flight to another or to you, and we do not store your IP address with it. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is sent.
Hosting
The game is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your IP address in order to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Children
Because the game collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Changes and questions
If this ever changes (for example, if an online leaderboard is added), this page will be updated before the change goes live. Questions, bug reports and feedback are welcome at hello@waxfall.com. If you write, your email address and message are used only to reply to you.
